He further emphasized the need for research and studies while making laws, stressing the importance of a thorough understanding of legislative drafting and procedures.

'Members of the legislature should conduct extensive studies while making laws,' Birla said. 'Members should have a thorough understanding of legislative drafting. The best legislator is one who engages in meaningful discussions in the Assembly, discusses issues based on extensive study, and uses technology in this age of innovation,' he added.

He further stressed that greater public participation in democracy leads to increased transparency in governance. 'The Assembly is the appropriate platform for Members to become leaders of the state,' he added.

The Lok Sabha Speaker also encouraged the newly elected MLAs to become the best legislators and fulfill the aspirations of the people by making full use of the House's processes through effective discussion and dialogue.

The orientation program for the Members of the 15th Legislative Assembly of Haryana is being organized by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE), Lok Sabha Secretariat, in collaboration with the Haryana Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

During the MLAs' orientation program, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said, '...I hope that all MLAs will ensure proper conduct, engage in meaningful discussions, and maintain the dignity of the House. In a democracy, differences of opinion are natural, but there should be decorum and a positive attitude in conversations. When we work with the attitude of "nation first," then every action will be in favour of the nation... I welcome and thank Om Birla ji for being present here today.'
