Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of speaking lies for votes and engaging in corruption.

Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 10 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of speaking lies for votes and engaging in corruption ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.

The Assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled for February, with the dates expected to be announced soon.

'Arvind Kejriwal is involved in a lot of corruption. Just for the sake of votes, he speaks a lot of lies. The public of Delhi will teach him a lesson in the upcoming state elections. The public will form the BJP government in Delhi,' CM Saini said.

Saini's remarks follow Kejriwal's statement suggesting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress should officially declare they are 'contesting elections together' against AAP.

'Arvind Kejriwal speaks a lot of lies. He also tried to form an alliance in Haryana. He first abuses the Congress party and then embraces them. He creates confusion among the public. Whatever corruption Congress has done, Kejriwal has done four times as much,' Saini added.

The Haryana CM also targeted AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi.

'He (Asaduddin Owaisi) is in cahoots with the Congress party. These types of leaders are two sides of the same coin,' Saini said, responding to Owaisi’s claim that there is 'no difference between BJP and AAP.'

Owaisi had stated, 'There is no difference between BJP and AAP. Both are ideologically alike. RSS is their mother. RSS created Jan Sangh, which later became BJP in 1980. The other was grown in 2012-13 in a big institute and is lab-grown.'

Saini also criticized former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav.

'When the Samajwadi Party government was in power, hooliganism was at its peak. Goons roamed the streets. The Samajwadi Party government protected these goons. But today, under the leadership of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, all the goons are in jail,' Saini said.
