The Anti-Corruption Bureau is likely to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Mukesh Ahlawat, and Sanjay Singh.

New Delhi [India], February 11 (HBTV): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is likely to take legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Mukesh Ahlawat, and Sanjay Singh, in the coming days after failing to receive a response to its notice regarding allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attempted to poach AAP MLAs, according to ACB sources.

Sources stated that if no reply is received from AAP, the ACB may write to Delhi Police to take legal action against the party’s leaders.

On February 7, the Anti-Corruption Bureau issued a notice to AAP leader Mukesh Ahlawat over allegations that the BJP attempted to lure leaders from the Kejriwal-led party. The ACB also issued a notice to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, requesting his presence for an investigation into allegations of bribes being offered to AAP MLAs.

The notice, considered serious, prompted the ACB to intervene urgently to establish the facts. Kejriwal was asked to provide information, including details of the 16 AAP MLAs allegedly offered bribes, the contents of their related tweets, and the identities of those who allegedly made the offers. The ACB also sought any additional evidence supporting Kejriwal’s claims, which he and other AAP leaders had made on social media.

Kejriwal has accused the BJP of attempting to poach AAP candidates by offering them INR 15 crore each, an allegation the BJP has vehemently denied.

‘Some agencies are claiming that the “Gali Galoch party” (referring to the BJP) is winning more than 55 seats. In the last two hours, 16 of our candidates have received calls offering them ministerial positions and INR 15 crore if they leave AAP and join their party,’ Kejriwal alleged.

‘If they are indeed winning more than 55 seats, why would they need to approach our candidates? These fake surveys are clearly designed to create an atmosphere to break some candidates. But none of our members will defect,’ he added.

These allegations were made just two days before the counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections on February 6.
