Kohima, Nagaland, March 8 (HBTV): Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye has emphasized the vital role of Assembly Committees in synchronizing legislative policies with government implementation. Highlighting concerns over absenteeism among committee members and non-compliance by Administrative Heads of Departments and Heads of Departments, he urged strict adherence to responsibilities.

Kenye called for the resignation of committee members who fail to attend meetings due to repeated quorum issues and criticized the practice of junior officers representing senior officials in crucial Assembly sessions. He stressed that all recommendations made by the committees must be given due importance, ensuring governance remains transparent and effective.

With the Fourteenth House committed to upholding public trust, Kenye reaffirmed the government's dedication to efficient service delivery, ensuring no legislative directive is disregarded.
