The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) has appealed to the district administration of Mokokchung to address what the LKM called ‘poor workmanship’ of the KKB Rulho Construction Company.

Mokokchung, Nagaland, July 27 (HBTV): The Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) has appealed to the district administration of Mokokchung to address what the LKM called ‘poor workmanship’ of the KKB Rulho Construction Company, which is responsible for the ongoing two-lane construction under the Langpangkong range.

The LKM has set a deadline of July 30 for the administration to take action. Otherwise, the LKM will proceed with its own course of action, a press release received here from the LKM stated.

The students said in a statement to the press: ‘The people of Langpangkong have never demanded land compensation during the construction of the National Highway and have remained as taxation free zone. Along with Langpangkong Tzukong Mungdang Road Coordination Committee, the Langpangkong Students’ Conference Road Coordination Committee has been supportive of companies operating within their range.’

Despite numerous requests to the KKB Rulho Construction Company to adhere to the project's Detailed Project Report and work systematically, the students said, there has been no improvement in their work quality.

‘As a result, local residents and commuters are facing significant challenges due to the poor workmanship. After failed negotiations with the company and project officials, the conference has decided to escalate the matter to the Administration for intervention before the specified deadline.’
