Inter-ministerial central team in Nagaland visits Zunheboto

Members of the central government’s inter-ministerial team to Nagaland visited Zunheboto district on September 11, for an on-the-spot assessment of the landslides and flash floods during the monsoon.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, September 14 (HBTV): Members of the central government’s inter-ministerial team to Nagaland visited Zunheboto district on September 11, for an on-the-spot assessment of the landslides and flash floods during the monsoon season. 

The team had a briefing with the district administration, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) members, Zunheboto Town Council and various departments at the deputy commissioner's conference hall, updates from the department of Information & Public Relations (IPR) stated.  

During the meeting, the departments briefed the central team on the current situation. Later, the team visited the hardest-hit colonies and areas. They had interactions with affected families and residents besides colony and area leaders, the IPR stated.    

On the second day of the team’s visit, the district administration from Tuensang, Shamator, and Noklak had briefings with the team at the deputy commissioner's conference hall in Zunheboto. The DDMAs from each districts highlighted the various emergencies that took place in the wake of the landslides and flash floods this year, the IPR stated.
