Decades-old ‘neglected road’ in Tuensang “finally improved”: Report

The road from the KVK farm to Chingmelen village in Tuensang district has been “improved after more than four decades”.

Tuensang, Nagaland, July 12 (HBTV): The road from the KVK farm to Chingmelen village in Tuensang district has been “improved after more than four decades”.    

The project, part of the SASCI (2023-2024) initiative, was inaugurated on July 9, a delayed report received here on Friday stated. The road was ‘long-neglected’, the updates stated.   

Imtichoba, Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, was the special guest of the inauguration.

In his address at the event, Imtichoba said he and the Republican Party of India’s (Athawale) area party president had discussed the need to improve the road, and assured the public that the task would be completed.   

The event began with a reception for the special guest and his entourage by the Nagaland Village Guard, Chingmelen unit, at the welcome gate. Imtichoba unveiled a monolith. A dedicatory prayer was pronounced by S Nochichung, pastor of Chingmelen Baptist Church, the updates said.
