After devastating landslides block National Highway 29 near Kohima, the road has been partially opened.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, September 24 (ENG): After devastating landslides block National Highway 29 near Kohima, the road has been partially opened. The deputy commissioner of Chumoukedima district has issued a revised travel advisory for National Highway 29.

In a partial modification of the previous advisories issued earlier this month, the stretch of the highway at Tseidukhru range, between Chathe Bridge and New Chumoukedima village, has now been reopened to all traffic. Vehicle movements will be regulated by the Chumoukedima traffic police, with only one-way traffic allowed at a time.

However, the Chumoukedima town road via the old Chumoukedima village will be closed from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily. This advisory comes into effect from 6 AM on September 24, until further notice.

Updates said that the deputy commissioner of Chumoukedima, Polan John, reviewed the matter during a meeting with the officials on September 23.
