The release date for Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 has been pushed back by a week, with the Marvel superhero's next feature now set to hit theatres on July 31, 2026, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Washington [US], February 22 (HBTV): The release date for Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 has been pushed back by a week, with the Marvel superhero's next feature now set to hit theatres on July 31, 2026, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The film was originally scheduled for release on July 24, 2026.

Sony Pictures announced the revised release date. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

With this shift, Spider-Man 4 will now release after Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and is set to open on July 17, 2026.

Holland, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, confirmed that production for the fourth Spider-Man movie will begin in mid-2025.

‘Next summer, we start shooting. Everything's good to go—we're nearly there,’ Holland said. ‘Super exciting. I can't wait!’

Holland has previously portrayed Peter Parker in three Spider-Man films, all directed by Jon Watts: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

The last film grossed over $1 billion globally following its release shortly after Avengers: Endgame, a pattern that continues with this installment, which follows Avengers: Doomsday.

Cretton has been involved in multiple Marvel projects, including co-creating the upcoming Wonder Man miniseries and developing a sequel to Shang-Chi. However, Spider-Man 4 is now the studio’s primary focus.
